"We felt straight away that we were dealing with people who knew their trade and who would be willing to help us if needed"
Hey Tom,
We’re very happy with both the floor and the service we got from JF Joinery. We knew that we wanted wooden floors for our kitchen-diner, so we started requesting samples and visiting local shops. We had heard about the commercial brands, but it didn’t take long to find out that specialised merchants could offer floors of a completely different league.
Why we chose JF Joinery? For two reasons: a) their 22 cm planks are stunning -not necessarily inexpensive, but surely stunning- and, b) because instead of just sending us the samples they gave us a call and they spent 30 minutes educating us on the pros and cons of each possible solution. We felt straight away that we were dealing with people who knew their trade and who would be willing to help us if needed.
Down the road our builder needed their help again and they were keen on answering all the questions our builder had. Before that, we had a small problem with the delivery, when one of the Treatex tins got crashed and spilled a box of planks: we sent a pic of the damages and they immediately shipped a new tin and a box as replacement.
Their service was fantastic all along. I treated the floors myself. After fastidiously cleaning them, I applied one coat in the morning and a second one in the evening. Using Treatex is simple, it just takes a roller, a brush and a bit of patience. I probably took me longer cleaning the floor than applying the product. I treated the floor before the skirting boards were put in, so it was really easy.
Would I recommend JFJ Wood Flooring? Of course. In fact, I did it already: our builder brought in a prospect who was thinking of a similar extension and she left the house with a piece of plank and JFJ’s details -she had loved the floors.
I hope this helps,
