I am emailing you to advise a recent situation involving your flooring and how well it stood up.
I fitted some 21mm Engineered Oak on the Elastilon Basic underlay as you had suggested to a local property in Hampshire. We have since discovered that there is been a water leak underneath the screed the flooring sits upon. The only way the leak was discovered was through water marks creeping up several walls.
There was no sign of any bowing, warping, watermarks, expanding or delamenating to any of the floor. However due to the strenght of the Elastilon underlay, it put up a big fight when trying to lift the flooring to find the leak.
When we did eventually manage to lift the floor, we found that the screed under the floor was saturated to the extent that water was pooling in the joins of the underlay. I cannot emphasise how impressed I have been with this product. I have been a Carpenter with more than 20 years experience and have fitted several makes of flooring. I will without doubt be using you and this product again, and wholeheartedly recommend this to any future clients.
